An Art Lovers’ Retreat in Portugal
For Painters & Non-painters – a luxury trip for the cost of an economy tour!
You can settle in for 8 days at the Villa Casal Assis, just 4 minutes from the wonderful historic center of Setubal. This is a beautiful classic Portuguese villa, with 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms! It has fantastic views of city and the bay. We’ll be staying in historic Setúbal for the whole week, which is just 40 minutes south of Lisbon and less than an hour away from many other beautiful places. Setúbal is where Lisbon locals go when they want fresh seafood and dolphin watching. Mercado do Livramento, the fish market, is legendary. Nearby beaches like Portinho da Arrábida have gorgeous turquoise waters backed by the hills of Arrabida!
We love to show people our favorite out of the way spots near Lisbon and Setúbal, along with some of the more famous sites! There will be some half day trips, since many famous places are less than an hour away from the villa we’ll be in. There will be 2 optional painting workshops, where I will provide all supplies, either in oil or acrylic!
One day we will have a private tour of Lisbon in a Tuk Tuk, visit an art museum where you’ll see Rembrandt’s awesome painting of Athena! Then have dinner in a breathtaking palace, Palacio Chiado!

Cost: $1,800 (single occupancy)

Private Transport (with professional driver) from airport and for day trips in Portugal
About 10 group meals at our favorite restaurants
Entrance to various attractions, such as museums, the vineyard tour, Story of Lisbon, etc.
All art supplies, if you are interested in participating in the optional painting sessions!

To reserve your spot:
Please send a deposit of $600, either via check, Zelle or Paypal (connected with 719-650-6130).
The remainder of $1,200 (if you want a private room) or $900 (if you are sharing a room) is due by August 30th.
Cancellation policy:
If you change your mind and let me know before September 8th, receive a 100% refund. (After that 50% Refund until October 8th.)

The painting sessions/ workshops will be held on the terrace you see below. (Those who don’t wish to paint can sip wine and watch! Or hike to the fort which has a cafe, retreat to their rooms for rest, or uber into town. The city’s historic squares are just a 5-minute Uber ride away.)
